Good Boundaries
Scripture I:
“Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.” (Psalm 16:5-6) NIV
Scripture II:
“I will praise the Lord who counsels me – even at night my conscience instructs me. I keep the Lord in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:7-8) HCSB
Lesson:
God created you at this appointed time in history and in your unique circumstances for a reason. Your experiences have not only shaped your personality and values, but they will also affect how you serve God and to whom you are able to minister. Although your life may be difficult at present, it is not a mistake that you are where you are.
God has set the boundaries of your life not for harm, but for good. Not to cause you pain, but to give you purpose. You may not understand how God could use your situation, but he will bless you abundantly if you allow Him to lead you. Therefore, listen to Him and seek His wisdom in your circumstances. Then rejoice as He turns your limitations into wonderful opportunities.
Prayer:
“God, I praise you for working all things out for my good. Thank you for using my life’s boundaries for your glory, the benefit of others, and my edification. Amen.”
